3C-REN, Goleta Public Library, and Santa Barbara Public Library have partnered to bring you the DIY Home Energy Savings Toolkit. The toolkit includes tools, equipment and a guide to help you save energy and increase the comfort of your home.

The kit has free items for you to keep like LED light bulbs, a showerhead, water-saving faucet aerators, electric outlet gaskets, weather-stripping, and water leak detection dye tablets; and tools you’ll return like an infrared laser thermometer and a Kill-A-Watt meter.

Presentation will cover the items and tools in the Toolkit that you can use to see how energy is being used in your home, and install simple upgrades that can help use energy more efficiently. Additionally, the presentation will cover strategies to save energy and alternative methods to electrify homes available through 3C-REN programs.
