The Introduction to Passive House course guides participants through the principles and economics of the Passive House Standard, with an in-depth look at the challenges and benefits in today’s market and the methodology used to achieve building goals.
The Passive House Network (PHN) and 3C-REN are proud to be providing this course for Passive House professionals. The Passive House Standard has been the state-of-the-art scientific foundation of high-performance and net-zero buildings, around the world for 25+ years.
Training qualified professionals is an essential prerequisite for successful Passive House construction. Basic training can be toward becoming a Certified Passive House Designer, Consultant, or a Certified Tradesperson.
Audience:
This course is suitable for beginners and is geared toward City Planners, Inspectors, Architects, Engineers, and all Building Professionals.
Learning Objectives:
Learning Objective 1: Participants will to be able to identify the historical evolution of window performance
Learning Objective 2: Participants will be able to identify and define basic terminology and concepts associated with measuring window performance
Learning Objective 3: Participants will be able to identify different key components that make up high-performance windows
Learning Objective 4: Participants will be able to recognize special features needed to achieve PH for different window and construction types.
